Photos
Pictures and videos are encrypted in your browser before upload, thumbnails too. We store ciphertext we cannot open. 2 GB per Key in this version, shared with Drive.
Photos need your axi0 Key
Your pictures have to reach our storage to follow you to another device, and they only ever leave this page encrypted with a key made from your axi0 Key. So there are no Photos without a Key: nothing to show here until you unlock.
New here?
Make a Key in this browser. It downloads as a small file and is shown in full once: keep a copy somewhere safe. Lose it and nobody can open your photos again, not you, not us.
Your new Key
We just downloaded it as a file, and this is the only time it is shown in full. There is no recovery: keep a copy.
- Thumbnails made here. A small copy of each picture is made and encrypted in your browser; our storage never sees a pixel of either.
- Dates stay yours. The day a photo was taken is read from the file here and kept in your encrypted list, never sent in the open.
- Albums are folders. The same files show in Drive. Delete a photo and its pieces are removed from storage at once.
