The Passwords extension and your data
We built the axi0 Passwords extension, for Chrome, Edge and Firefox, to fill and save the logins of your own axi0 Passwords vault on the sites you choose. This is everything it does with your data.
What it reads
The sign-in fields (username and password) of the page you are on, only when you open the extension on that page and choose to fill or save. It reads no other page, no browsing history and no other content.
What it keeps on your device
The key to your passwords, made from your axi0 Key on your Key’s page when you press Allow. By default it is kept in memory and forgotten when you close the browser; when you tick “Stay unlocked on this browser” it is kept in the extension’s own storage on your device until you press Lock. While you are linking, a one-time key waits up to 10 minutes. Your logins are held in memory only while the extension runs.
What it sends, and to whom
Your vault, encrypted on your device before it leaves, to the Keep at search.axi0.io, which stores ciphertext it cannot read. The login you pick, into the fields of the page you are on. Nothing else, to anyone: no analytics, no advertising, no error reports, no third party.
What we can see
Encrypted lockers we cannot open, and that a locker was read or written. We keep no logs with addresses or identifiers. We never sell or share data.
Your control
- Lock, in the extension or on the Passwords page, clears everything the extension keeps.
- Removing the extension removes its storage.
- “Delete everything now” on My search deletes your vault from the Keep.
